Childhood Tragedy

I’m dying of thirst, find me some water
I’m dying from hunger, I need to eat
I’m suffocating, I need air, I really want to breathe
Mother, can you help me?

With no hesitation you said it won’t take long
But in the tunnel of eternity everyone’s wrong
I believed you, every word and that’s why your dead
You never got it that we were way over our heads

Trusting someone is so easy (it always pleased me)
But sometimes were not in control (no control)
I can’t shake the thought of you (mom, I love you)
Goodnight, goodnight

We almost made it when we broke through
The rocks blocking our way out, we heard the rescue crew
But then the rocks collapsed on us
And we were buried underneath too fast (hush)

The passageway to what seemed to be heaven
Was not as I had imagined: white, bright and long
„How are you?” asked the angel, „I died at seven”
In that moment I realized mom was gone

Trusting someone is so easy (it always pleased me)
But sometimes were not in control (no control)
I can’t shake the thought of you (mom, I love you)
Goodnight, goodnight

In the hospital I lay, thinking about you
Remembering the drawings I drew for you
I will make it, I will be true
My life is not yet through
Like yours

Goodnight, goodnight (goodnight for good)
Mommy, I love you ( I really, really do)
