Eye For An Eye And The Whole World Goes Blind

We spend most of our days in the classroom and listen to the teacher’s speech
On how the youth has gone bad, the youth has gone mad
„Our lesson today will not matter anyway” we hear him say
As he looks out the window with desperation in his eyes, the teacher never lies

Despite our ignorance, we know something is wrong and so we write a song
To make it seem like we don’t care but actually we just don’t dare
Because it’s hard enough facing the world every single day
And it’s hard enough seeing your parents and friends die
And it’s hard enough having your heart broken by some guy

Ten years from now
We’re still the same (no doubt)
Ten years from now
We’ll never change (people can’t change)
Ten years from now
We’re still the same (don’t you see)
Ten years from now
We’ll never change (because people just don’t)

We will never change, we will never change

As days go by we still sit in that very same classroom
Waiting forever, waiting for the day to end so we could go out with our friends
And play pool or shoot hoops or just drink ourselves to death
We'll return home at morning, fall into bed and pretend to be asleep
So we can't go to the very place we dislike the most, we can't go to school, we don't want to

On the last day of school, after all the tortures, and obsticles I didn't even try to defeat
I see you sitting quietly not very far from me, then I turn around to hear you laughing over me
This is the first time I realize what it is that I had given up on, slip through my fingers
The show can’t go on but the show must go on, I don’t want to die a loser

Ten years from now
It’s still the same (we’re still the same)
Ten years from now
Things never change (we never change)
Ten years from now
It’s still the same (we’re still the same)
Ten years from now
Things never change (we never change)

Things will never change, things will never change
If we don’t let them
